Created during a 2023 residency with Cold Pizza, in Saskatoon, Canada, and included in an exhibition of the samename at Saskatoon's Bunkhouse Gallery.

About the Zine
In 2020 I went to Saskatoon to complete a residency at Void Gallery, in Saskatoon, Canada. The residency was cut short shortly after my arrival due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and I spent the following three years irked by how I had been unable to complete the residency. With this chip on my shoulder I eventually returned to Saskatoon in May of 2023 to redo the residency. This time it took a different form, with me printing at the home studio of Cold Pizza while staying in their adjacent guest room, making a series of prints, shirts, and this zine.

Shortly after arriving I went on a bird watching trip on the Saskatoon River with Stan Shaddick of Living Sky. On this trip I asked a few questions about bird migration and how birds know when and where they need to leave their homes. These questions formed the basis of this zine as I compared this instinctual migration with my own impulse to return to Saskatoon.
