About
DW21 was made after I took part in GMIT Letterfrack’s Design West summer school in 2021. The zine is made up of text which was written at the time to document the development of my work made during the programme, and illustrations which were created later to reflect on the experience.

My time on the course focussed on connecting with the Connemara landscape, having spent the prior 16 months in and out of covid-related lockdowns in Dublin. Developing my course project was a very cathartic and physical process, making a flag and raising it on Letterfrack’s Diamond Hill, sitting behind the college campus in Connemara National Park.
